Boeing and Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) will soon commence the second batch (25 Seats only) of the Accelerated Apprenticeship Program. The program is designed to hone aircraft maintenance skills and increase the employability of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) in India.

Accelerated AME Apprenticeship Program 2019

The Accelerated Apprenticeship Program brings together a state-of-the-art ‘smart’ class room equipped with advanced training aids, and a best-in-class curriculum created by Boeing experts and imparted by highly qualified Air India instructors.

The AMEs will also get ‘hands-on’ exposure on an actual Boeing aircraft that will help them significantly enhance their maintenance skills.

You’ll learn by doing on the job, putting your skills and knowledge to practical use in the working environment. This provides valuable experience and real insight into your aircraft maintenance interest.

As well as your relevant qualification, learning on the job will equip you with valuable skills for any future employment, such as Tools Handling, Aircraft Handling, Analytics Skills, Troubleshooting, General Practices, Standard Operating procedures, and Technical Documentation referring.

Program Structure

Duration:12 months

Classroom sessions on training aid:~3 months

Training on Boeing aircraft:~9 months

Infrastructure:Smart classroom with advanced training aids

Trainers:Air India trainers, trained by Boeing

Location:AIESL, Mumbai


Training focus: CAR 66 modules

Modules:3, 5, 6, 7A, 8, 9A, 10, 11A, 15, 17A

Classes Begin: Mid-October 2019

No fee for the second batch of the program (Class of 2019)

No fee to appear for the entrance examination

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates in the last semester/OJT(On Job Training) of 3 year course at DGCA approved AME colleges.
Candidates that have passed out of 3 year course from DGCA approved AME colleges.
Candidates who pass the entrance examination

Round 1: 22nd Sep, 2019Online Test(Aptitude, English comprehension, & concepts learned during 3 year AME course)

Round 2: 29th Sep, 2019Online Test(Personality Test and Virtual Video Interview)
