Applies scientific principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools, and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions. Ensures novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools.

Position: Principal Engineer (P4)

Primary Responsibilities:

Experience in driving technical design of electronic products for aerospace applications including definition of detailed design tasks; technical oversight of team members; coordination between engineering disciplines; compliance to industry and company design standards; and performance to program requirements, schedule and cost targets.
*Should be a highly motivated self-starter with strong written and oral English communication skills and work well in a team environment.
*Good Knowledge in DO-254 process.
*Good Knowledge in DO-160 process.
*Broad exposure to a wide variety of tools and understand purpose and application of tools to the hardware life cycle phases.
*Good working knowledge in DOORS.
*Good knowledge in the hardware design, analysis and verification phases start from Requirement to Qualification/Certification support.
*Lead a team of Hardware engineers in design, analysis and Verification of Avionics hardware.
*Good knowledge in Analog, Digital and Power Electronics domain.
*Good K+G4nowledge in the design and analysis of Magnetic components/circuits.
* Knowledge in EMI/EMC.
*Good Knowledge in various electrical design support analysis.
*Good Knowledge in the design of motor controllers/control loop.
*Capability to interface with Software and System team on various aspects of products.
*Responsible to find out new methods and processes to approach complex situations in the respective area(s) of expertise.
*Ability to travel internationally for occasional design review meetings with peers / customers and system level of integration activities.

Acts as an internal consultant providing technical guidance on projects. Oversees the engineering work and the administrative duties of a small work group to ensure that business objectives are met. Provides work leadership and trains less experienced professional and technical staff, when required, to help them diagnose and solve problems and to strengthen the function. Drives project schedules to keep programs running efficiently. Acts as the organization’s representative at conferences, meetings, boards, panels, committees, or working groups to present, explain, or defend findings or recommendations, negotiate compromises or agreements, or exchange information.

Basic Qualifications:

Master /Bachelor of Engineering (BE/BTech.) degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering with 12 to 18 years of relevant experience preferably Aerospace.

Primary Skills:

Experience with Math Cad, FPGA / PLD VHDL design tools,

Spice based simulators,

DO-160, DO-254 knowledge,

•              EMI/EMC based design(RE,CE,RS &CS) and Compliance and Knowledge on UL and FCC based certifications,

•              MEMS based designs

•              High-speed microprocessor- Power PC, MIPS, Xscale, and ARM based board designs; DDR2/DDR3/DDR4 based designs.

•              DSP/ micro controller/ Ethernet/ High-speed memory, I/O based design.

•              Power Supply Design (<100W)

•              CCPLD/FPGA/Digital logic design/VHDL, Verilog programming.

•              CMOS Transistor level design, realization, and Power optimization.

•              ADC/DAC, LNA, Mixer based RF circuits and PLL, based designs.

•              UART/ RTC/ timers/ GPIO/ Memory map – Hardware diagnostics.

•              TDM bus/ ST bus/ SPI/ 3-wire/ I2C/ RS-232/ RS-485 based board design.

•              DFT (Design for testability) compliant with JTAG for on board hardware.

•              100/1000 Base-T, GigE based designs.

•              Familiarity with logic analyzer, Router tester, and Spectrum analyzer etc.

•              Discrete analog subsystem design.

•              Knowledge of different CPU architectures and their interfaces like PCI, PCIX, SATA, SCSI, USB and different I/O interfaces.

•              Proficient with complete hardware design life cycle (HDLC) including schematic entry, circuit design and simulation, layout signal integrity analysis.
