Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

 

Material Management

  • Reviews unserviceable parts inventory and provides recommendations for BER parts for scrapping.
  • Ensure the Supervision and directs material movements within the operating networks.
  • Establish and update periodically, a master list of suppliers that is the Approved Vendor List.
  • Ensures to procure and manage, receipt and dispatch aircraft spares and commercial materials including stores inspection.
  • Ensure the Supervision and directs material movements within the operating networks.
  • Reviews unserviceable parts inventory and provides recommendations for BER parts for scrapping.
  • To identify training needs and to provide training for subordinates to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure regular audits is conducted on the stores, stock holdings, stock status and value and to ensure deficiencies are promptly addressed and rectified.
  • Ensure adequate corrective action from Quality Audit findings.
  • Establish and update periodically, a master list of suppliers that is the Approved Vendor List.
  • Liaise with QA for approval of new suppliers to be included in the Approved Vendor List.

Policies and Procedures

  • Ensure all procedures complies with flynas strategic plans and organizational goals.
  • Ensure regular audits is conducted on the stores, stock holdings, stock status and value and to ensure deficiencies are promptly addressed and rectified.
  • Ensure the monitoring and control of shelf life for parts and materials while in storage.
  • Establish a filing system for supporting documents received with each part or material.
  • Establish a proper storage system recognized by GACA/ CAACI.
  • Ensures to procure and manage, receipt and dispatch aircraft spares and commercial materials including stores inspection.
  • Overview the process of designing a workable process standards and best practices for the department. And apply improvement when needed.

  • Manage the Department performance and identify areas for improvement. 

Budgeting and cost control

  • Prepare and present the new budget and compare it with the current budget.
  • Overview to forecast the budget as per the department requirements, supporting flynas strategic plan and organizational goals.
  • Ensure the reviews and authorizes purchase orders, invoices, warranty claims and other service charges and highlights any discrepancies.
  • Ensures that plan for the short, mid and long-term forecast for spares and materials will be available in a timely manner.
  • Provides proper systems for the procurement, storage, issue, transportation, handling and control of spares and materials efficiently and economically.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • 11- 15 experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Finance/Accounting with experience in supervising a team of more than 10.
  • Knowledge on Aviation regulations, company policies and standards.
  • Knowledge in analytical as statistical and financial reporting

Education and Certifications

  • Master / PHD Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Studies, Statistics, Finance or related.
  • Certificates are required.

Job related Skills

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills as statistical and financial reporting.
  • Advanced computer skills , i.e. office (word, excel )
  • Good possession of decision making and supervision skills
