Job Description Summary

Lead and drive Material planning and scheduling activities to meet the production requirement as per customer demands and delivery schedules. This position will drive order fulfilment, Inventory analysis, Lead time reduction etc. including effective implementation of other SCM performance Metrics and targets.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Co-ordinate among Manufacturing, Materials and Market (Internal Customers) to arrive at a consensus manufacturing and delivery plan
  • Drive complete order fulfilment for the Machining COE
  • Develop production schedule to meet customer demands, drive material requirements, and communicate with customers on delivery schedules
  • Identify critical path of the supply chain, identify actions to shorten delivery lead-time to win/ support customer orders
  • Identify and manage bottleneck / shop capacity opportunities.
  • Support the material management team defining critical parts in advance buy in order keep correct service level and to meet inventory targets.
  • Timely update and release daily, weekly and monthly metrics charts and focus on measures of performance to meet delivery performance targets
  • Provide effective scheduling and implementation of all programs based on the Master Schedule, cycle time, shop capacity, hardware / tooling availability
  • Coordinate the efforts of cross-functional groups and across shifts to resolve bottlenecks, parts shortages, machine maintenance, manpower issues, and shop capacity
  • Analyzes inventory reports for FG, dead and slow inventory reports and drive improvement in inventory turns, reduction of dead and slow moving inventory
  • Define Production planning, capacity planning attributes in Oracle to generate accurate production plan


  • 4 year degree in Operations Management and any Engineering field


  • 2 + years of relevant experience in Master Scheduling, Production planning
  • Manage & control demand planning activities and scheduling,
  • Key deliverables on timely scheduling, order fulfilment etc.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and Presentation skills
  • Good exposure to ERP, MS Office
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities

Desired Characteristics

  • Oracle, ASCP, ATP, CTP and order management Exposure
  • Exposure to Constrained & unconstrained planning scenarios
  • APICS certification and prior O&G, energy industry experience will be an added advantage
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks & assign right prioritization
  • Excellent problem solving skills, sound judgment, initiative and creativity.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, and organizational skills in a matrix organization
