As a member of the metrology service team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support in order to achieve the operational goals of the various production and tooling teams.

Job Description

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and implement inspection routines on various measuring instruments (mainly CMMs);
  • Optimize existing inspection routines as well as the underlying programming processes;
  • Improve the speed and efficiency of working and programming methods by adopting a standardization approach;
  • Offer technical support during complex start-ups or the development of new technologies;
  • Help develop and implement a strategic and technical vision in metrology.

MAIN QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, experience, skills):

Required:

  • Training in metrology, engineering or advanced mathematics;
  • Have more than 5 years of experience in the field of metrology on complex 3D parts;
  • Demonstrated experience in structured programming on CMM measuring machines (PFX, Zeiss, Wenzel, Umpire);
  • Master geometric tolerancing, plan reading and statistics (Six Sigma);
  • Good notion of parametric programming;
  • Ease in three-dimensional geometry (concept of vectors, trigonometric functions, etc.);
  • Comfortable with computer tools including the Windows environment and its applications (Word, EXCEL, etc.);
  • Knowledge and in-depth use of at least one of these software: Calypso, PC-DMIS, Open DMIS, Avail, C ++, C #;
  • Good notion of parametric programming;
  • Have a client-supplier approach;
  • Demonstrate technical leadership;
  • Have an excellent analytical and synthetic mind as well as a developed sense of organization;
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, as well as initiative and good teamwork;
  • Languages ​​spoken and written: French and English.

Will be considered an asset:

  • Have experience in the inspection of high precision parts according to the requirements of the aeronautical sector;
  • Have knowledge in gauge design and mechanical part socket;
  • Ability to work independently and ability to adapt quickly;
  • Rigorous and comfortable working with quality procedures;
  • Strong knowledge of computer-assisted drawing (UNIGRAPHICS software);
  • Knowledge of machine vision
