An aircraft boneyard or aircraft graveyard is a storage area for aircraft (airplanes/helicopters) that are retired from service and not in use by any companies. Aircraft at boneyards are either kept for storage with some maintenance or have their parts removed for reuse or resale and are then scrapped. or sold. Such storage Boneyard facilities are generally located in deserts area of a country.

Aircraft graveyards are available in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and many other countries. The term aircraft boneyard is generally used in American English whereas the aircraft graveyard word is generally used in British English.

Generally, all airplane boneyards and storage facilities are limited access sites and do not allow visitors but some of them are now opened for tourist visits.
